New Mission to Chimanimani: Mushroom Harvesting and Training

Early December, the TRICAFÉ II Trilateral Cooperation Project team conducted another mission to Chimanimani National Park. This trip included a training session “Introduction to Mycology: Characterization and Mushroom Harvesting,” aimed at park interns and students from Púnguè University.

The mission also included field visits to different locations within the Park, with the aim of collecting mushroom samples for subsequent species identification. Additionally, a brief practical microscopy session was conducted, allowing for the optimization and better utilization of the laboratory resources available at the Park.
